Asus ProArt P16 Boot Loop

Problem
On the ASUS ProArt P16 (H7606), the computer can stop with a blue screen during boot after a Windows 11 update. This problem is caused by a bad firmware update installed by Windows 11. If the TPM 2.0 setting in the BIOS is on, the computer can go into a boot loop.

Solution
To correct this problem, install firmware version 316. To do this, follow these steps:

  1. Download the firmware file H7606WV.316 (date: 2025/03/03) from the ASUS Download Page.
  2. If you do not have another Windows computer to extract a ZIP file, do these steps:
    a. Link to firmware: H7606WV.316
    b. Right-click the link to the file.
    c. Select “Save link as…”
    d. Save the file to a USB drive.
  3. Start the computer
  4. Press and hold the F2 key to open the BIOS.
  5. Load the firmware file from the USB drive.
